I was going for a Monkey Milk color scheme but the chenille I got is darker than it looked to be on the website where I got it. I know a guy who use to try and snag crappie with a red treble hook. He called the hooks a "Red Eyed Toughie" so that's what I'm calling this bait. I trimmed the maribou on the first one, it looks like crap. The others don't look great, but I think they'll catch crappie. I like it best too, except the chenille didn't snug up against the back of the head. I don't think fish will mind that though. I’m sure you know this, but try some squirrel/deer tail, in place of Maribou, it’s seems to fall slower imo. Or for shooting purposes they seem to anyway.
