Nice Buck. Is that your stand in the background? Looks like a comfy one!
Don't blame me for your bad decision-

Nice Buck. Is that your stand in the background? Looks like a comfy one! Thanks everyone. Yes that’s my stand haha. That’s the way I like to do it. I had been grunting all morning off and on saw a couple other small racked bucks. About nine I kept smelling a rutted up buck. Well at 930 I looked to my right and there he was at 15 yards. He was hooking a tree but facing away from me. I had to stand up throw my gloves off and try to get on him in the thick brush. He started acting like he was on to me and was gonna get the hell outta dodge so the only shot I had was to shoot him in the left rear ham and try to break him down where I could move and get another shot. Well when I shot he went jumped into a backwater slew and was running or swimming it. So I ran over trying to get a better shot and he wheeled around and started coming back at me. He was around ten feet and I busted him in the chest. I was all by myself so I was high fiving tree limbs and jumping in the air. I let out a rebel yell everyone in the county probably heard. This I think is my best alabama buck on my own land for sure. I’ve spent a lot of time money and effort on a little 160 acre piece of land for seven years trying to grow and hold big deer. I’ve always got deer like this or bigger on camera but never get lucky enough to seal the deal. Well today all the work and effort paid off. I’m tagged out in alabam
