Has anyone hunted there before just trying to find out if there is deer there. i just found out about this area. looking to find out if any of yall have ever heard or been there. any info will be helpful. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Yes, there are deer there. There is also a strong pig population. The property is easily accessable from Marine Lab and Henderson Camp roads. It is underutilized and should have some good hunting. I do not hunt the area, but am involved in the management of the property. It was recently burned and the habitat is really coming around.
Be polite, be a gentleman, but in order to ensure your survival, always have a plan to kill, to devastate anything you encounter.

Yeah, thats the one. Contract fire done by some folks who were unprepared for southern rough and sea breezes. Looked bad because it got a lot of coverage from the media, but all in all, the objectives where acheived and only burned into about 30 acres of private property. That private property has started to rebound well and should look good also come springtime. The fire really promoted the native grasses and took out all the thick underbrush that was hurnting that place.
