not long ago there was a thread here about MLF going out. Out hell, they are back strong and start 2020 on Eufaula 7 Feb. Here is the field. IMO, this is the top level guys in the sport. The guys that left because they couldn't cut it.
Initial 2020 Angler Groups are based on the final standings from the 2019 season points. A random drawing placed MLF Rookies Bryan Thrift and David Dudley. The Bass Pro Tour opens February 7th on Lake Eufaula (Ala.) with the following groups:
Group A Group B Jeff Sprague (2nd) Edwin Evers (1st) Brent Ehrler (3rd) Jacob Wheeler (4th) Todd Faircloth (6th) Michael Neal (5th) Jordan Lee (7th) Dustin Connell (8th) Mark Rose (10th) Bobby Lane (9th) Andy Morgan (11th) Mike Iaconelli (12th) Aaron Martens (14th) Casey Ashley (13th) Andy Montgomery (15th) Ott DeFoe (16th) Jared Lintner (18th) Wesley Strader (17th) Greg Hackney (19th) Fred Roumbanis (20th) Stephen Browning (22nd) Bradley Roy (21st) Jacob Powroznik (23rd) Zack Birge (24th) Greg Vinson (26th) Takahiro Omori (25th) Mark Daniels Jr. (28th) Cody Meyer (29th) Randy Howell (31st) Randall Tharp (30th) Anthony Gagliardi (32nd) Jason Christie (33rd) Alton Jones Jr. (35th) Fletcher Shryock (34th) Gary Klein (36th) Adrian Avena (37th) Alton Jones (39th) Dave Lefebre (38th) Cliff Pace (40th) Luke Clausen (41st) Marty Robinson (44th) Gerald Spohrer (43rd) Brent Chapman (45th) Justin Lucas (46th) Josh Bertrand (48th) Mark Davis (47th) Terry Scroggins (49th) Kevin VanDam (50th) Chris Lane (52nd) Jesse Wiggins (51st) Matt Lee (53rd) Jonathon VanDam (54th) Scott Suggs (56th) Russ Lane (55th) Jeff Kriet (57th) Keith Poche (58th) John Murray (60th) Justin Atkins (59th) James Elam (61st) Skeet Reese (62nd) Shin Fukae (64th) James Watson (63rd) Boyd Duckett (65th) Ish Monroe (66th) Timmy Horton (68th) David Walker (67th) Dean Rojas (69th) Brett Hite (70th) Tommy Biffle (72nd) Cliff Crochet (71st) Brandon Coulter (73rd) Kelly Jordan (74th) Roy Hawk (76th) Shaw Grigsby (75th) Britt Myers (77th) Mike McClelland (78th) Paul Elias (80th) Jason Lambert (79th) Bryan Thrift (N/A) David Dudley (N/A)

I completely misread the title. Thought there was gonna be nekkid cougar pics.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

They all signed a 3-year deal, with a buyout to get out if so desired. Let's see how many stick around after the remaining two years and then come back.
The two who returned to BASS weren't the only ones considering it, not by a longshot.

I figure MLF is here to stay with their format & the # of viewers they have ($$$). If nothing else maybe it will force BASS to put more cameras in their boats. We have a couple of old pro's on this website & Clem has legitimate inside info too. It's all about $ now & ESPN will own them both a few more years & it will just be another NFL/NASCAR type deal. Their will be new sponsors like CNN & Kotex then through inclusivity there will be new anglers of the feminine gland & HUK will have to design an indian turban that is hook resistant.

WATCIHING a B.A.S.S event on tv compared to a MLF event is like going from atari to ps5 ( or whatever they got now).
Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

ESPN will never own another fishing company or outdoors property. Their money is with stick-ball sports and the new E-Sports gaming, with live broadcasts and streaming. MLF is still refining, IMO, and probably will continue to tweak things. They have the top level with the "catch everything" format for the new viewers and action, and the old traditional format with the "FLW Pro Circuit" that just kicked off at Sam Rayburn. John Cox won with about 65 pounds over four days. So if you like the "catch 5, weigh 'em, they'll die later but they were alive when I weighed 'em" format , they have it on a couple of levels. And if you like the "nonstop action every fish counts unless we say it doesn't count" format, they have it.

Id personally like the MLF format to succeed. Very entertaining. I agree that group of anglers is the top in the world.

Did I see that MLF Bass Pro Tour was changing the minimum weight for a scorable bass to 2 pounds?

Did I see that MLF Bass Pro Tour was changing the minimum weight for a scorable bass to 2 pounds? Depends on the lake, productivity, past history, expectations, all that. https://majorleaguefishing.com/featured/bass-pro-tour-enacts-variable-minimum-weight-for-2020/

State has a16 '' size limit on Eufaula therefore MLF is going to a two pound limit Per the regs on Outdoor Alabama 14". That is the minimum length my son and his partner could keep for their high school tournament this past November. Spots had to be a minimum of 12". The 12" spots were running about 1 to 1 1/4 lbs. They were footballs. I think a 14" LM would probably make the 2 lb minimum. David
