All the ones I've sat in were the regular ol' expanded metal seat with no back to speak of..........I've found I can sit in them a whole lot longer than a shooting house. I get bored quick in a shooting house, but in a ladder, I can sit for hours without losing interest. give me a shooting house with a good chair all day long. for me, it's not so much the stand, as where the types of stands usually are. Shooting houses are, more often than not, on a green field or powerline or something.....ladders in the woods are a lot more interesting. I get what you’re saying. I’ve just gotten bad lazy with the deer hunting lately.
