2 man stands are built for the attention span of a 4 yr old. dew wut? Meaning, they are tough to sit in for longer than an hour or so. At least the ones that I have sat in. The bar in the back is more than I can stand for a few hours, hence built for the attention span of a 4 yr. old. All the ones I've sat in were the regular ol' expanded metal seat with no back to speak of..........I've found I can sit in them a whole lot longer than a shooting house. I get bored quick in a shooting house, but in a ladder, I can sit for hours without losing interest. I will throw a cheap cushion in my backpack if I know I'm sitting in one and haven't had a problem.

None of them that I have ever been in are very comfortable so.i would just go with the cheapest 1 I could get. And as long as you continue to buy cheap you wont ever have a comfortable 2 man stand

Shooting houses are, more often than not, on a green field or powerline or something.....ladders in the woods are a lot more interesting.

Plus all I've sat in have the footrest too close to the seat so your knees are right up under your chin. Very uncomfortable.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I’ve just gotten bad lazy with the deer hunting lately.

I sat in an X-Stand Jayhawk X 18' this past weekend. It is probably the most comfortable 2 person ladder I've ever used. I put one up this season at the club. Very comfortable with me and my son but the shooting rail is a little lack luster. Overall, I’d buy again and make my own rail.

There’s a local guy here that builds ladders and they are by far the best to me. He lives in Madrid which is close to Florida. His name is Jimmy 334-714-4424 I second this. I don't own one but have been in one and they are fine. I've got 8 or so of Jimmy's stands, some of them are close to 25 years old and are just as good as the day I bought them. In our club we probably have well over 75 of them. Great guy to do business with.

I have a couple of big winner doubles and they work good. But like superspike said those hawk doubles are nice.
