I listened on my lease this morning and had a buddy with a youth on his about 5 miles away, and niether of us heard a bird. ... Kinda odd, they are usually hammering by now.

I hope they turn it on Saturday morning. Heard 5 up there Tuesday morning. Gobbled good in the tree but very little on the ground. Olcountry has been in Greenville all weekend and said they did the same thing there.

had some friends who heard several birds this weekend in Jackson county,but my daughter and I never heard a single gobble,maybe my lease will come alive after this next front moves out...

I took a kid to my club about 13 miles north of monroeville and heard two and he killed his first bird (a jake).. they didn't gobble all that well today

I haven't heard one gobble on the roost the past two mornings, but I've heard a few turkeys get pretty hot on the ground thirty minutes or so after flydown time.
