How does it cost the common man more?

Not sure how you come up with that question from my post. Pretty sure prices for hunting related activities are the same for everyone, but I will explain it for you.
People that make more money normally have more expendable income to spend on there hobbies. Deer hunting has become a hobby for people in higher income brackets. They have more money to spend on leases and such therefore the cost of leasing land goes up even though the number of people leasing land goes down. The median household income in Alabama is $48,000 a year. I would say the price of leasing land for hunting and all the other expenses that go along with it has surpassed the amount of expendable income of most households at or below the median income level. I am not saying it is bad or good for the future of hunting but it is a fact. I would say the people on this site is a good example of people who hunt in this state, and I would bet most are above that income level.

Anyone can spend however much they want on hunting. It’s can be done very cheap tho. I haven’t had a lease in years or plan on getting another one. There’s public land all over they state that’s free to hunt.

But that requires walking, in most cases, instead of riding a 4wheeler right to your stand.........and you might have to get in a climber instead or even hunt on the ground instead of a 4x6 shooting house with office chairs....
