Full disclosure I work at a stealership(dealership) and Ram(what Dodge calls the truck line) are a bit less than Chevy Ford. Yes they break but no worse than any other brand. The days of a mechanically inclined person working on their own stuff are going away. I'm sure the Aldeer mechanics would agree with me. For you nongas runners check your def carefully. Without getting into a huge debate what you mean by this specifically. Running out of the def fluid causes expensive problems and the dpf clogging up is a very expensive repair. This is the reason I had all of that garbage deleted from mine.
