I've hunted 3 times this gun season and I haven't seen a deer yet. I would say slow going so far.

I guess I'm the exception. I've seen deer 4 out of the 5 times I've been.
14 deer seen hunting nothing but hardwoods.

100% Moon phase... it’ll pick up in a week or so. 2 week before gun season I was getting a ton of day time pics on my cell cameras. Bucks and does. Over the last 2 weeks it has slowly turned to night movement. Full moon is on the 11th. You’ll see a shift starting on the 3rd or 4th.

Imagine the numbers if all were reported and if there was a way to know how many deer were killed by vehicles

But is that normal? It's all subjective. I can count on one hand how many times in a season I don't see a deer. It sure isn't because I'm a great hunter. Just decent property I hunt by myself. Every season seems the same to me. No good ones. No bad ones. I listen to people and initiate the good season/bad season conversation alot. It seems through the years the majority of hunters fall into 1 category. That category is they work 5 days a week and are in a hunting club or hunt public land. So if those hunters weekends get into a hot rainy weather pattern coupled with hunting pressure it is gonna equal a bad season. So a bad season for most is just bad luck that's mostly out of their control.

Trust me, they know. ALFA and their subsidiary AWF can tell you exactly how many

What I’ve seen on FB it appears around these parts kill numbers are up. Some dang nice ones for this time of year is hitting the ground too. Even the local WMAs are having some good ones hit the ground.

My friends haven’t really hunted much or killed anything. So I guess it depends on where you’re getting your info.

What would you estimate the real numbers are?

We've not had enough freezing weather. Still plenty of mast and browse available for them. They don't have to move much to eat. When they come to our food plots, they might nibble for a couple of minutes, but most of them are just passing through.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I killed me doe last Wednesday during muzzleloader season, but like others, I believe it's related to the wather.

Iv seen roughly 130 deer on stand in 15 sits just haven’t went deep in the woods yet. Corn holds deer in the area but I would say maybe 15-20 actually came to eat from a corn pile .the rest just moving through or on acorns and browse . The big bucks are still doing what big bucks do .
