I have hunted it once. Saw about 7 or 8 does as I recall but just did not have one close enough for a shot.
The Corp land is a good deal for bowhunters and I have hunted it in several areas. They even plant green patches and print up maps. The permit is free. There is just one problem that you need to prepare for. No motorized vehicles are allowed past a certain point. This presents a problem with getting gear in and getting gear and possibly a deer out. It also means that the closer easy walking distance patches get hunted the most. The more distant patches are harder to get to but the less hunting pressure usually means you'll see more deer at them. Sort of a catch 22 there. I'd recommend a good quality pull cart for hauling stuff in and out. If you could attach one to a bicycle you would have the ideal set up for hunting corp lands.
