Why do people still do it?

I remember the old guys telling me to do that when I was a kid. Even then I never understood it.

And then soak it in a cooler for 575 duzen days so it tastes good.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

My dad ALWAYS cut their throat - which I never understood, especially since we had always field dressed them on the spot. I think sometimes the things we do is based on learned behavior passed down vs. common sense. But back in the day when I hunted with my dad - running dogs and buckshot rarely led to a clean kill and on many occasions we’d walk up to a deer that wasn’t quite dead and we didn’t want to add more buckshot. He was good with the knife - he did’t slice cut, he’d stab them and draw the knife to cut the artery

In salty buttermilk on ice you drain and replenish. Gotta make sure to turn it into a gray slab of flavorless meat before soaking it for a day in Italian dressing and cooking it well done so everyone can enjoy.
