That is awesome. Is that a rock climbing harness? I’m betting you could do this with a saddle also. I didn’t think I would every be the one to carry sticks in with me but that did not look bad at all

Thanks to you and your wife for taking the time to post the video. I’m too old and fat to pull that off but looks like you got it nailed down!

Yes its a rock harness, and it aint bad...as long as you got a little mobility about you.

Why not just go to one stick? One stick and a 5 step aider works pretty well. Seems like that first stick doesn’t have much purpose.

Spurs are my go to method right now, but if I ever do public land, I’ll use a muddy/aider.

I actually started with hooks and switched to a single step with aiders....i just didnt take to it..got used to that extra step...its really just to get me up quicker right off the bat..just habit is all.

Its an old loc on lem...its a spirit i think. Good old stand..weighs about 8.5-9lbs by itself with the sticks i think it weighs like 12 or 13 lbs. Its been modified slightly..my favorite stand of all time

I tried on a rock climbing harness at REI the other day. When I sat back and put my weight on it the crotch crush was unbearable. I can’t imagine doing what you’re doing with it.

Yep it sure does, 30 years ago maybe I would try it. Cool video though I’m impressed with the system. How high did you get up in it?

Not real high...maybe 12-15 ft...i hang it on average about 20-25ft..i moved the stick one time in the video..i usually move it 3 or 4 times..i try to climb straight clean trees when i can but i can get around limbs if i need to...tho i typically can find me a good tree...nice thing is that i can hang it on real small diameter trees...i dont like to..but i can and have...and have hunted as low as 7-10 ft high..tho i had good cover and could not be seen from behind...this particular stand also folds out and locks..so it doubles as a stool if i want tou have a seat on the ground.
