Always heard the system deactivates when it has a trailer hooked up. Might could just put a cut trailer lights plug into the receptor and work it that way. Kinda silly but should work It will but it will also deactivate reverse sensors, blind spot monitoring systems, and remind you every single time you fire it up that a trailer is connected, and the aforementioned are disabled. It will work, but not ideal.
