I would venture to say most folks don’t know how to rabbit and squirrel hunt and that’s why they’re not taking their kids. I am a self taught hunter and it was easy to find resources to learn about deer and Turkey hunting but I couldn’t find anything on small game when I wanted to learn. Rabbit/Squirrel hunting isn't rocket science just saying


Well of course, you know that because you were taught how and learned that. I know that now because I learned that...… but imagine never being on a squirrel hunt or rabbit hunt. Only been deer hunting a few times and decide you're going to go figure out how to squirrel hunt. It's kind of a different approach.


Pretty much learned on my own when i was a kid, my stepdad didn't hunt besides that he was gone from 6 to 5 everyday, rarely talked to my dad when i was a child, i just hit the 10 acres behind the house and got after em. Learned real quick that rabbit is probably the most foul smelling critter to gut 🤮 Still is in my book. Guess that's why i haven't shot one in over 20 years....
