What draw weight are you shooting (modern compound)? Anyone shooting < 50 lbs? My buddy just bought a PSE Stinger pulling 70# and looked at me like I was a purple elephant when I told him my bow was only pulling 45-50 lbs.

47#+\- sorry missed the modern compound part. That’s my recurve weight. When I shot compound I shot around 55#

I'd like to work my way up to 60#, but I'm shooting decently enough as is and don't want to retune and buy new arrows before the season starts. I don't get why new bow hunters jump to 70# - it's not as fun to shoot! Uncle Ted said 45 lb and a good broadhead will kill any whitetail in North America.

70, but I can pull it straight back without issue. I expect to drop weight as I age so I can hold for a longer time.

Well this is aldeer. I don't touch a bow unless it's 90#'s or more.

No, 60#'s and the bullets are pretty fast from the Bowtech.

My draw weight is prolly 200 lbs or so... laugh .but I shot 70lbs for many years and really didn't need to..... rolleyes I have found that if you bottom out the limbs of a bow that is its maximum performance and quiestest....sp...and if you put a nuff love .. her.....she'll get real quiet....... smile .and whisper sweetnothings in your ear.....Mine is maxxed out...bottomed limbs....at 66 lbs and is 8 yrs old.....Z7 extreme....BRANDI is etched in the handle......with just a couple of tick marks..... I love her she been good to me.... thumbup

Expected some slight variation with most experienced archers leaning towards 70#s. I really do think it’s true that muscle mechanics are unique in bow hunting. I regularly dead lift over 400 lbs at work but find a 70# bow to be obnoxious and tiresome.

Me too NAIU....lol....I rarely bench 500 but when I do I do it with Dosecki..... laugh I figure with 12 or 1500 wrapped up in a bow and the older I get ...well...I aint getting much stronger so.....I figured I would trade a minimal amount of speed for a more forgiving and stealthier bow.....and take care of her so she'll sty tight for me.... wink Brandi!!! She's a fine Girl..... Hmm Hmmm HMM HM.......
