I wouldn't say that,especially since some things don't add up to a simple home invasion gone wrong for the invaders. Why were there multiple family members in the yard at 4am? Even if they were just outside minding their own business,it doesn't seem likely that they would be perceived as an easy target for robbery.

It seems to me more likely that all these knew each other and that the attempted robbery likely started inside and escalated outside. My guess is it's a dope house they attempted to rob.
