I bought a deer grunt call in osage from them last year. Great call. I decided to send him a piece of snakewood to see if he could make one out of it. Snakewood tends to be brittle wood and it was quite a battle for him. This is the end result and I couldn't be more happy. Great communication and work. Refreshing to see these days.

He did a great job even though snakewood cracks very bad. Lots of CA glue fills and slow cutting.

Val’s a good dude and puts out a good product. I’ve had the privilege of helping him sell his calls all over the United States. We have several going to the Florida State show in Bonifay. Working with Snake wood is no easy matter. He built me a Blue Mahoe longbox for helping him at the NWTF convention and getting him in a store in Panama City. It’s out of this world beautiful .

Got one of his boxes recently. It’s top notch. Really like the sound most his boxes have.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

Sent 2 to the Florida State Longspur call competition in Bonifay today. He walked out of there with 1st and 2nd in the longbox against 17 others. He has sure earned it.

Usually depends on the wood it’s made out of. I think around $45-$60.
