I have no idea of the process or cost involved in getting a suppressor. I want one for a 22 rifle that I currently have. Can someone boil down the process to get one and the cost for a good 22 model?

Looking at about $570 (that includes $200 for stamp) or so for Silencerco sparrow.

The .22lr TakeDown by Thunderbeast is the best money can buy theyl run you $395 give or take $20 if you look on Gunbroker + the stamp. you can dissassemble it yourself to remove fouling, you cant do that with alot of suppressors and they have to be sent in for a sonic cleaning in solvent. a 10/22 shooting standard velocity rounds all you can hear is the bolt cycle.

So what paperwork, and from where, has to be filled out? What is the process, step by step?

I went with the Silencerco easy trust, but I've seen guys on here talking about there being Kiosks around at some shops? Maybe they'll chime in later on.

I talked to a local gun shop a few weeks ago and they said I was looking at 7-9 Months. Does that sound right? If so, can I get 2 suppressors off the same set of paperwork? You also still have to pay for 2 stamps $400 Bucks.

The .22lr TakeDown by Thunderbeast you can dissassemble it yourself to remove fouling, you cant do that with alot of suppressors and they have to be sent in for a sonic cleaning in solvent. Most all top quality .22 suppressors, and there are several on the market, are made to be disassembled for user cleaning due to the buildup of molten lead from the non-jacketed bullets that are .22 rimfire. NEVER buy a sealed .22 suppressor.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I just waited 10.5 months.
The Leeds police department did my fingerprints. Not all PDs will do it.

Nichols Outfitters (which’s a drive for you being in Pelham) has a kiosk set up. You can pick out and buy your suppressor, they do all the paperwork except signing your name, and you’ll be out of there in an hour, tops. That’s if they are busy. Finding a place like that near you, or making the drive is by far the easiest way I know of. I’ve bought 2 from them. I think Larry's in Huntsville has a kiosk also.

9 to 13 months were my times but I've been out of the game for a good while. Thinking about one more lightweight 30cal though.
