I was a serious Tikka fan until I shot a Kimber Hunter. Unless I get a smoking deal on a Tikka, I would only buy Kimber.

I've not seen much positive feedback on Kimber accuracy

It's hard to tell though if most of it is gun or user related. Lots of people have trouble with extremely light rifles and even very small things like a binding mag box will baffle a lot of shooters. To me however I would buy a Used Montana long before a Hunter model. The Carbon fiber stock is the main selling point to me,but the Kimber is a real sweet miniature modified Mauser action with an excellent and simple trigger,if you prefer that.

I've killed 3 yotes over 240 yards with kimber montana it's a sweet lil gun
I'm sure they are more accurate guns but I only hunt with mine and I ain't scared to shoot at anything under 300yd with it...if u gonna be shooting futher u might wanna get something different

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
