I’ll say it once again. Go look at Deere M series. And don't forget to carry a whole lot of extra money. But you can get a real 75 hp tractor with the M. Since you are comparing 2 tractors from a lease program, you are gonna save a lot compared to a new one and will probably be better off. I bought a 5075e in 2012, and nearly all the problems I've had with it were due to the dealer installation of an extra hyd line. Once those were solved, it's been a very solid tractor. Yours would have more of the EPA junk, but the Kubota will have it too, and all those initial problems that many seem to have will already be solved while on lease. I have no experience with that size Kubota, so I can't make a comparison. But I can say that I think the JD is a solid tractor. The 5000e series doesn't have the bells and whistles of higher models, but I look at it as fewer things to tear up.

You know that 5075 has reversible hubs right? The dealer can narrow it up to 30” rows for you. I wouldn’t want that narrow kubota. It’s gonna beat you to death. Must kubotas do not come with air ride seats. You better ask for em in either one you get

Another question I have is about getting a quick hitch for whatever I end up buying. From what I've seen they seem to be pretty nice and make life a whole lot easier when swapping implements but say I get a land pride which is made for kubota will I be able to use it with any 3 point implement or will it only work with a Land Pride brand implement? I've read some reviews that said they will work with all and I've read others that have said just the opposite and really wanna make sure before I spend the money on one since everything I've got is a different brand.

I had a cat 2 speedco QH on my 6040 kubota. It’s now on my 5100M Deere. Def get you a quickhitch and with fender 3 pt hitch control hookup is a cinch.

As long as the cat 1 implement accounts for the width of the cat 2 quick hitch. That’s the only issue I’ve had.

I have a 04 Kubota M6800 (predecessor to the 7040) and a 2011 JD 5065e. The JD is heavier and does do a better job with breaking ground. The Kubota runs quieter, smoother, and slightly better fuel consumption. Both machines have 800-1000 hrs on them and my JD has had more issues (all electrical). Also my JD is having hardware backing out, specifically the exhaust heat shield hardware and the coolant overflow mounting hardware. A year ago I thought they were both fairly equal, but now I am leaning towards the Kubota being better built.
I must say that neither one has had any major issues, no leaks, and still function like the day I got them. In my opinion that M6800 is one tough tractor. That is what my wife's uncle used to have and he sold it when he sold his house and all his land in the country and moved to the city and I was an idiot for not buying it then for what he was asking for it. I watched him do things with that tractor that I would not have attempted with anything less than a bull dozer and he never broke anything on it and he actually cleared the lot with it that his house sat on.
