My wife told me Saturday that I am getting to old to do all the work it takes to hunt deer and I should just relax and don't worry about all that stuff My birthday was Saturday and I turned 75. I have been deer hunting for 65 years and I am not about to quit now. She said that one day they will find me in a stand dead from a heart attack or stroke. My response to that was. (that would be great). I have taught my sons and grandsons the sport also and they love it as I do. I thank God for my life. Well that’s just how my Dad went out back in 1995. Died of a heart attack on the deer stand up in the river swamp on a dog drive. Miss him every day but know he went out doing what he loved and in the place he enjoyed the most.
