You’re more pto and engine Hp with the Deere. Weight probly be close to same if both are cab plus mfwd. I owned a kubota m6040. It was ok. But anything green is home for me. More operator friendly. But do yourself a favor and look at an M series Deere in that same size.

The JD E's are not what a JD is known for. They're cheap. If you were comparing a Kubota to a M or R, then the Deere would win hands down.

I have a MX5200 Kubota. I know it’s not the same model but we love ours. It’s STOUT. JD makes awesome tractors in that size as well. Which one has GOOD service centers close. That would be my deciding factor. JMO I have the Mx 5100 Kubota, Iv'e had some Deere Tractors they are good tractors with the Yanmar engine . I only have 40 acres but im sticking with the Kubota tractors. It does everyhting I need to do and it is a Tier 3 Tractor .

I can speak in detail about this as I just bought the very tractor you are considering. I was comparing the Kubota M7060 to the JD 5075E. I bought brand new so that is the reason I went with the JD over Kubota. Below is what made me go with the Deere.
72 months 0% JD 72 months .99 Kubota
Even though the Kubota dealership bent over backwards JD still beat their price by $300+ for 75 hp verses 70hp due the interest on the 72 month terms. My JD quote included a FEL mounted hay spear that was $750. The Kubota quote did not have the hay spear included so that put them $1100 behind JD.
JD 2 has a year bumper to bump warranty and 5 year power train with no hours restrictions. Kubota 2 year bumper to bumper and 3 year or 3000 hours power train warranty.
Even though I wanted the Kubota I could not pay $1100 more for smaller tractor and 2 years less warranty.
Also the JD is a heavier tractor of the two.
I spent two weeks researching these tractors and spoke with 4 JD owners. Not a one of them had any issues or complaints about the 5065E or the 5075E. On the other hand I spoke with a buddy of mine that has two club members with the M7060 and they both have been in the shop.
Overall I think both are equal tractors and either one is subject to have issues. The reason behind I did not want to give up 2 years of warranty JD was offering. If I had a local Mahindra dealer I would have bought a Mahindra. Better price, heavier tractor no regeneration emissions crap and way cheaper than Deere or Kubota. They also come standard with a lot of nice features that are optional on the Deere and Kubota.

Squeaky has obviously been tractor shopping. Listen to what he's saying. I've said it in these tractor threads before, but Deere will not be beat on price. They can mark down the E series much more than Kubota can mark down m6060 or 7060.
I've used both pretty extensively. The Deere is tougher built, less exposed hoses, less exposed hydraulic cylinders. Seriously the amount of exposed hydraulic hoses on the Kubota makes me nervous to even take it up to hunting camp. I have zero fears of tearing anything up under the tractor on the 5e series. Everything is basically encased in cast iron save for the FEL hoses.
The Kubota is more operator friendly. Controls set up better, more ergonomic. Seat is more comfortable and the common rail direct injection makes a noticeable difference in power to me. And Kubota uses a 4 cylinder engine, Deere uses 3 cylinders, so the Kubota is putting out more displacement. The turning radius is also a lot better than Deere.
Gun to my head I'd choose the 5e series for hunting camp work, Kubota m series for pure farming. If your hunting camp entails only field work then they're both pretty much equal.

I’ll say it once again. Go look at Deere M series.

I’ll say it once again. Go look at Deere M series. It's in another stratosphere price wise compared to the 5e series or Kubota m series. Great tractors, though.

You need to make sure the 5075E isn’t poorly built. I’ve seen some that don’t even have the left sided collar shifter for forward and reverse. You have to clutch and go to and from reverse and the gear you were in. I would be annoyed by that.
The older Kubotas like the 6040 had an under built radiator and are prone to easily overheat. We’ve had 2 that do this. Not sure if they changed that. The one I'm looking at does have the power reverser on the steering column which was a requirement for me. Does all JD loaders have the special JD hook up or can you get a loader from them with the quick attach? The reason I ask is because I was watching a video on YouTube where a guy had a 5075e and I'm pretty sure it had the quick attach system on it but I may be wrong. To me that's one of the things I really don't like about the JD is being forced to buy their attachments which from what I've seen are quite a bit more than the universal quick attach that can be found anywhere. Another thing I'm a little concerned about is I recently bought a Browns 6.5ft disc harrow and am not sure if with a tractor this size if it is wide enough to cover my tracks with the gangs turned as aggressive as they will go.

Squeaky, what dealer did you use? I used our local Sun South dealer in Andalusia.

Most of the new JD's are coming with the Euro Global hookup - which I think is becoming the standard for tractors - but pretty sure you can order whatever type of hookup you want.
