The state of Alabama could solve the budget crisis if they'd set up alcohol checks on Hwy 21 both north and south of the casino at the Atmore exit.

I honestly think the police dont give 2 schitts about traffic violations anymore I havent seen someone pulled over in months and i drive 50 mile round trip everyday I see people swerving, speeding, cutting people off all the time and alot of times in view of police and they just keep on rolling. hell 90% of the time I see LEO there driving worse than the people there supposed to be writing tickets to. This is not correct at all, for TN at least. My town has about 7500 people in it and we have what seems to be 500 cops. If you drive 3mph over the SL you will get pulled over. More towards the OP, TN has DUI task forces. It’s like a drug task force except all they do is drive around and look for people that may be intoxicated. Drinking and driving is stupid and should not happen but devoting all our tax money towards some fat ass cops waiting around to see if someone is swerving is stupid too. Phones are just as dangerous.and before a cop on here gets mad lol, other than one guy from the Ukraine, all of our cops and state troopers here are about 5’8” and 300 lbs haha.

It seems like every podunk town in Alabama has hired a whole squad of cops in recent years. I remember when Chilton County had 3 deputies and maplesville didn't have a police officer at all. Now we got enough deputies to run 3 shifts and maplesville has a freaking platoon. They got nothing to do, so all of them show up to issue one guy a speeding ticket.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Texting and driving is as bad as drunk driving. You’d probably be surprised at many folks are driving down the road under the influence of prescription pills, many don’t even know they are breaking the law because they are prescribed. I’ve represented several folks for DUI controlled substance and usually the first thing they say is “I was taking my medicine that the doctor prescribed me”. That is no longer illegal thanks to the way the law was interpreted when Spencer Collier was stoned out of his Gourd. crossed the center line in Pike Road, in a Selma Police Vehicle and hit a man head on. The troopers on scene said he couldn't stand up. Blood drawn at the hospital showed narcotic painkillers and sedatives in his system. Prosecution was declined because they were prescribed to him and within the "therapeutic limits". Now I know the law didn't change but if my client was charged I'd be hopping up and down about this.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
