Seems like somebody had a thread going about replacement keys but I couldn't find it. I need a new key fob for my truck. Is there any cheaper ways to get one and having it programmed without going to a dealership and paying $100's?

I would like to just have one that opened the door of the truck I could hide just in case of a brain fart.

Most the Parts stores around here carry various models of key fobs that u program yourself, but I've never purchased one.

They are cheap on ebay and come with instructions to program them. Fords are easy, can't speak to other brands.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

'15 Ram 2500. I just bought it. Only came with one. I looked at some on eBay and Amazon. They had horrible reviews. Most customers were having to send them back for refunds.

I've bought 3 or 4 off eBay and programmed them myself. Cheap and easy.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Dunno about Dodge, but as stated previously, Fords are easy. It literally took me longer to walk out the door and to the truck than it did to program and test 2 fobs purchased on Amazon.

The company I usually buy from (remotesremotes.com) only sells Dodge car key fobs.

You must get an Automotive Locksmith to program the remote to your vehicle for you, there are no keyless entry remote self-programming instructions for this vehicle.

Both links below sell them.

I’ve ordered from keyless-remotes.com and was very pleased with their products. Programming instructions were included and the prices were very reasonable.

I just got for work a 2019 Ford Explorer XLT with a keyless remote and I’m still trying to figure out how it unlocks the door when my hand is on the door handle and the fob is in my pocket.

Toyota’s are pretty easy to program too. I watched a YouTube video, after buying a replacement for the minivan my wife had, and had it programmed within 10 minutes. That’s watchng the video and programming.

We just got our key to cut and keyless entry box to program off amazon. Total cost was 15 bucks. I just gotta program the keyless door box and cut the spare ignition key. So doing it myself is about $20 bucks compared to the $150 and 1hr wait at lock smith.

I wish I could...it would've saved me $60 and the kind I have to be programmed by the dealership or locksmith so I was at the mercy off the fob
