Seth, do the four of you who are staying have an escape plan if things go sideways? Escape plan?? LMAO We're stuck down here. Flood walls across the road well north of us are closed. We're good here. We have the best facility in the area. Built to withstand 150mph winds, elevated 32ft off the ground. Emergency generator with 3000 gallons diesel (plus another 20,000 gallons in another tank that I can transfer over), I have 30,000 gallons stored potable water, backup satellite phones, etc. I'll ride it out just fine. Thanks for asking though!!

There’s a carnival cruise ship leaving mobile right now. We’re on top floor of the beach club and the lights are rocking back and forth. Winds at least 35-40 up here. I’d hate to be on that boat right now but they’ll get around it quick We got into a real pissripper in the North Atlantic. Boat listing to port, pool chairs blowing off, warnings over the PA. Wife got scared but it was my favorite part of the cruise.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Seth are you around? It rained here around 4 am. It sounded more like being water blasted than rain. The water along bayous is steadily rising. For the record, there are no 7-11's in New Orleans.

I'm here and doing good. Tired as chit. I finally recalled my boats from NOLA (well....two of them). One made it down to the entrance of the river at Southwest Pass. All is good with the pilot station down there too. We are opening up the river for traffic first thing in the morning. It'll be a BUSY week playing catch up with all the ship traffic going in and out. Worst winds we got here were 53mph. The river came up to the deck of our dock...parking lot under water. Only lasted a little while. The road (only road in and out - hwy 23) went under water at Myrtle Grove north of me. I spoke the the local sheriff and he said the water is starting recede there now. Hopefully headed home tomorrow some time. The wife and I hit our 20 anniversary this coming week and we are on vacation. Gonna road trip it somewhere to just relax.
