Well... Had surgery to repair a torn ACL and torn meniscus this morning. First time I have had any type of surgery in my 35 years. I’m already restless and tired of laying around.

I’m good. They did a nerve block in my leg that has kept the pain down all day, but I can tell that it is starting to wear off. I’m a stubborn ass, so I’ll tough it out regardless. Physical therapy is going to test that though.

Having ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair done on my left knee next Friday. Had it done on the right back in April. The real fun begins in a couple of days when you start the PT. grin

Praying for the best. Take a pain pill before it gets bad.

This white boy don’t dance. 30 plus years of walking on concrete at work, the 6 years I spent in the body shop at Mercedes stooping and squatting making welds on car bodies, years of hanging off trees putting up loc-on’s and that fall I took back in 2009 are the culprits.

That's what happened to me last March. Had torn meniscus repaired and junk cleaned out. Pretty rough on the knee, just have to keep ice on it. Went to rehab and I said, "Your going to do what to me" "Like hell you are!" Was pretty bad for about 3 weeks or so. Then started getting better. Got to do what you got to do in some situations.

Hope you recover quickly. I went back to work too early after my meniscus tear.

It was over a long period, from sports in high school to 4 years in the Navy. Just abused it. Kept getting worse and worse until I was limping all the time. Wife would tell me that I looked like a 100 year old trying to walk. Painful to move it at all. Nothing much left for the knee joints to slide on, when the meniscus is really bad and tattered. I had gotten sort of use to it for so long and then it suddenly got much worse. Glad I had it done. The pain is not too bad after the surgery. It was bearable and only took about 10 of the lortabs he gave me. Swelling lasted a long time...5-6 weeks. I had retired at 62 already last year, before having the surgery. I was so glad to retire. State Retirement and SS is all I was waiting for. It would have really bad to have to go to work after a month off for recuperating. It really took more like 6-8 weeks, before it got better for regular motion. I don't even notice any problems now. Now that titanium plate in my neck is a whole 'nother can of fish bait.

Hahahaha. Make sure you keep checking your PM’s. I’m gonna need you to cut my grass before long for that smartass comment bro.
