Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

For my driving test I had to parallel park a 64 long wheel base Chevy Truck with no power steering. Lol

I had a '67 GMC stepside with 3 on the tree. Paid $1200 for it in 1978.

I’m actually headed to Montgomery in the morning to pick up the motor to my 68 F100 from the machine shop. Gas tank in the cab, three on the tree, manual steering, manual drum brakes, AC vents are located in the quarter windows. Want to be colder, increase speed.

That's known as a 2/60 AC. And it's one thing I do not miss.

Cokes were 5 cents
We were on a party line of 10
$1 a day pay and glad to get it

My 66 custom would hang in neutral, inevitably at a traffic light.

I had a 73’ Olds Cutlass with 3 on the tree as my first car. I had to keep an old towel in the back floorboard so I could open the hood and reach down to fiddle with the levers to unstick it. I forgot all about that till y’all posted it

If you remember gas being 23 cents/gallon, then yep....you're pretty old. grin

Near as I can tell, that was in the mid 40's or so.

I remember driving to the stores when I was 12 and picking up beer and smokes for my dad and his buds 😀

I remember gas well below $1 but I can't recall the 20 cent range.

My first truck was a 61 chevy then a 67 chevy so I remember all those and I definitely remember floor (stomp) start trucks

I remember gas being around $0.70. I also remember the gas lines of the '70s.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

First old truck we had that I drove was a 49 Ford with 3 on the column. Starter button in the floor and the linkage hung up all the time. We had a small country store with a "visible" gas pump, crank the handle and fill up the glass tank to the mark you want. Our party line had 7 on it, you picked up the phone and the operator in Troy, usually one of my aunts, would say "number please" and you verbally told her. My grandmama's number was 94J4, ours was 533W3.

My grandmother had a country store with that same old gas pump.
