Haha!
I was going to say 3.5 too.
But I KNOW B’ham Fred is more knowledgeable on the subject than myself.
I also remembered every somewhat managed property I ever hunted, we lumped the old one together in the category “3.5 or older.”

AC, you see how that brisket extends out and is somewhat squared? That what separates the 3s from the 4 and betters. At least four. Add a year for time of year, they ALWAYS look younger in velvet.

Lol. 3.5. Most folk are horrible at correctly aging and judging deer that’s why so many young bucks get killed before reaching max potential. If you convince yourself it’s 4 or 5 or older it’s ok to shoot. Most of those are actually 3.5. He 3.5 and makes my point. 😂

Summer time bodies throw a lot of people off including myself. I normally don’t even try to age a deer until after growing season when their bodies fill back out. But as Fred said earlier I also think he is at least 4 but probably 5.

4 is my guess due to his brisket.

His back is still flat so I doubt he’s 5.
