I asked for nothing but got a new thermometer and cast iron grates for my BGE. I guess my wife saw me looking at the grates at Ace Hardware the other week and well the thermomter I got because my 20 month old grabbed it and he wouldnt put it back and kept saying "Daddy". It is one of the big thermometers so I can read it from my back door so that's handy and those cast iron grates do an excellent job with grill marks.

I got an outdoor griddle for the back porch. It's the large one at Lowes with 4 burners and a huge cooking surface. It is friggin awesome! I cooked breakfast and dinner on it yesterday and plan on using the chit out of this thing!

All my dad's cordless batteries had died and were now obsolete, so my brother and I got him the 20V Craftsman Brushless 1/2" Drill/ 1/4' impact combo. I had bought the same one a few months back and was pretty impressed by it. I used the impact a lot when I was pulling the motor out of my old truck. Still had 2 bars on the battery when I finished.

My 18 year old (that just graduated high school) bought me a gift card to Red Lobster from her own money she's earned this summer. Pretty big moment for a dad. The wife bought me a new Spy Point micro link trail cam. So we'll see how that goes.

Me and my youngest didn't get home from camp till late last night. But the Wife done made me 8 Jars of Peach preserves, and she & my oldest boy went to the farm and picked up some peas, maters and zucchini. So tonight we're having fried green Mater sammichs & eggplant parmesan, so I'm a happy camper 😀

From my ungrateful children............not even a "Happy Father's Day". From my wife....a card and some cash which I am about to go to the store and use to buy steaks for my ungrateful children.

Really I don't think they are ungrateful but after my father and my wife's father passed away, the day is not a big event anymore. Probably one everyone would just as soon skip.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

A week at the beach in Destin with my family.
A Stetson Airway Breezer straw hat and a Columbia sunshirt so daddy could be cool yet stylish kinda...on said beach.
