You were exactly right. After 2 days of eating NO carbs, I'm back to not being hungry. I guess cantaloupe triggered that issue. I just looked and it is listed as a high GI food, even though it has lower carbs than most any other fruit. My blood ketone level was 1.4 today which still isn't quite in the optimal level, but two meals of meat 4 hours apart and I'm still stuffed.


Fur,you will be fine. I ate several things in the beginning I shouldn't have been eating and learned most of what I know through trial and error. You want as little insulin reaction as possible and while it's a balancing act, you also need to eat good fats for energy. The balancing part is that you eat too much fat and you will burn less of your fat,but if you don't eat enough fat you won't have enough energy to keep your metabolism high and you won't burn as much fat.
