About two weeks ago we found out that my girlfriend was diagnosed with what was thought to be stage two breast cancer. We were trying to remain pretty optimistic based on the survival rates etc. Previous to this appointment she had also injured herself playing in a mother son kickball game and since has had some trouble walking. So as a precaution, the doctor order a bone scan and MRI to evaluate what was going on there.

We we met with the doctors yesterday and comes to find out, she in fact has stage 4 breast cancer that has infected her hip, femur, shoulder and her chest. It is non curable and they can only do what they can to try and extend her lifespan. To say the least, this was crushing news. Basically I am not really understanding how to cope with such news and being since she is a 27yr old single mother to a 5yr old little boy, I can only imagine what she is going through on her end. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Man that's horrible so sorry to hear that. My best friend lost his wife to that in January she was 36 with 2 young kids. Praying for y'all.

Dang that’s tough. My gf is 27 so I’m not even sure how I would react to something of that magnitude. Only advice I’d give is to go get a second opinion since there was a difference in the diagnosis. Heck you may even want to look into alternative treatments if the second opinion doctors say it’s not curable. May as well try all you can to beat it. Cancer is a horrible thing.

Sending prayers y’alls way for comfort in this tough time.

What is her name so the Aldeer membership can start to pray for her? Check your PM's.

Very sorry to hear that. Try to communicated with her friends; people will avoid her, because they simply don't know what to say. Keep an eye on yourself, and go seek professional help.

Just an FYI: People in constant pain can get very mean. If she lashes out at you it may be the pain and not her.

Praying for her, you and the child.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Prayers sent. Look in to clinical trials if possible. I dated a girl that beat stage 3 breast. It’s tough on everyone involved. St Vincent’s has a woman doctor that’s one of the best with breast ca. Sorry but I can’t remember her name right now. Praying for all of you.

Prayers for all. Please encourage her not to give up. Cancer Centers of America would be worth trying. A friend of mine was told he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer and only had 2 months to live. He went to Atlanta to see those specialists at the Cancer Center and as of today is cancer free. He was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, so it definitely changed his perspective on the words of just one doctor.
