Anything Pre 72 with a new running gear that includes an LS. I’m one of the last hold outs but nowadays everything we build gets an LS in it. You can pick between a 700R4 and a 4L80 but I’d spen the few extra dollars and get the 4L80. Put a late model rearend with 4 link, you want launch for playing get vertical, you want smother ride and still launch we’ll just Incase, get angled 4 link.

With these changes, reliability just became a nine issue. Now you just gotta pick what wrapping you want it all in. My preference 71 Chevrolet Number 1. 68-72 Nova. 70-72 Monte Carlo. 67-72 Chevrolet pickup and I still love the stepsides.
