I have 3 pr of Calcutta sunglasses I got from Amazon for around $20. There work fine and don't break you. I've had Costas, but why waste money on heavy glasses that offer nothing but a name?

i've tried (and liked) Oakley's for years - still wear them from time to time ... i have to say, tho, i keep going back to a pair of brown Nike's -- they're very light & comfy & have held up very well now for many years ... i also like my Under Armour white polarized sunglasses ... the problem i always had w/the Oakley's were the ear socks would wear out ... i do have a pair of Ray Ban's, but those nose buds dig in too much - i only wear them for "looks" from time to time ...

I put electrical tape on the arms, covered them with a "cablz" lanyard and wear them when I am working outside. and don't have my "clics" readers around my neck .

If you send them back they'll send you a new pair for $12 as long as the lense aren't broken.

I Costas but they stay in the case most of the time. I usually go to wally world and try on pairs till find one I like. Pair of cheap safety ones from Lowe's are OK to.

My wife and son both found a pair of costas in the surf yesterday, one sells for $155 one for $185. I cant imagine paying that for either one of them but at the price we paid, they are now my favorite.

I am done with Costa's and Yeti's.... all hype, no quality in either. They would rather create fancy ads and commercials than make a good product or stand behind it. Just my experience with both companies.

I think they are over priced and over hyped too but they will send you a new pair if its just the rubber or frame that's the problem. If you'd like to sell them instead of getting another pair just PM me.

There are a lot cheaper alternatives to Yeti now. There may be cheaper alternatives to costa, but I’m not sure if you could get glass lens sunglasses for less, that look good.

I have strictly used only costa for many years. I have had this same pair, for around 6ish years. The 520 lenses. And I’m going say, I can tell a HUGE difference between mine and other off brands. I’ve swapped glasses with people on numerous occasions. I will also say this, about 2 months ago, I picked up a 6x6 to carry on my shoulder and my glasses were around my neck, snapped an arm off...... for $12 they sent me back my same lenses with brand new frames. Think I will stick with costa.

You serious, Clark? I have a pair that I love but they are worn out. No broken lenses though.

As long as they aren't broken from abuse they will send you a new pair for $12. Call them and they will give you a RA#. If your style is no longer made they will let you pick another but the lense color must be the same. Last year I sent back my Man O Wars because the rubber on the frames came off and the nose piece was degraded. They don't make them anymore so she let me pick any other pair I wanted. I even went from the 480 poly lense to the 580 glass. $12 shipping is all it cost. They seem to have fixed the issue with the rubber and nose piece as these are holding up great. I won't ever buy another pair of Costas for the price they want because I think Smith makes a better product for less but the Costa warranty is hard to beat.

I always love threads on here where someone asks for opinions of what is the best ___________ and people line up to tell him what is the cheapest. like clockwork

I wear Costa and the rubber is gone after 4 years. I like the glass lenses and haven't seen lens quality as good in anything I have yet tried that wasn't at least as expensive. Going to give the warranty a try.

I can tell the optical difference in cheaper sun glasses and still wear them at times. You just have to have sense enough to wear cheaper glasses when you are in a place they might get lost or destroyed somehow.
