I cracked a lense on my Costas this weekend.
I give glasses a hard time. I need strong durable glasses!
Opinions?

If you're that rough on them I'd just buy some Strike Kings or something cheap. I'd rather lose $15 than $200 That's what I do with reading glasses. Got 4 pairs; one in the car, one in the truck, one at my office,...
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.
Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Wiley x glasses are ansi certified. My pair of Wiley's lasted 5 years in the Marine Corps and now 4 years of farm and yard wear. They are my working sunglasses.

I have ANSI certified Oakley's. They are tough but I don't like them. They are a nice pair and polarized but I often have to lift them up. Just not clear enough in that in between light. Also, I can't ever really wipe them clean. Always smudge. I miss my Ray Bans. Much more crisp and easy to clean. But not as tough.

I love my Maui Jim's, but wear Crossfire polarized grey safety glasses most of the time. Comfortable, light, and it don't hurt when I scratch a pair bad enough to toss them. MASHx2 on the Crossfires. They are some good glasses for the money. Even their cheaper, non polarized lenses are great. I wear them until they break. I paid almost $300 for a pair of Maui Jim’s that aren’t worth a damn. Yea, their polarized lenses are okay but the frames are complete garbage IMO. My all time favorite polarized lens is the 580 silver mirror glass from Costa.

I know we all have different experiences, but my revolvr's didn't last but a year, the coating was coming off the lenses, and after 4 Emails fell on deaf ears i said piss on em. I mean they're supposed to be a veteran owned company correct?

Barry i love Oakley's (have 3 different frames with no lenses) but I've had better luck out of my Costas, the lenses have been more durable for me...

Mine are the p17 and they have been solid and have taken a beating.

I had the same problem with them as the Oakley's, the lenses started to discolor (coating coming off?) they were all polarized, and i guess should've called, because I'd rather speak to someone than Email, but i never did.........

I have switched from the hi dollar sunglasses to polarized Calcutta's. For 20-25$ I have been quite pleased. If they break I figure I get a new pair, the good thing is I haven’t broken them yet.
