The man who cuts hay on our land has hay from 2017 he was trying to get rid of just a few weeks ago. Loaded up semi trucks, one or two a day, going out to Texas mostly at little or no profit just to get rid of it. Still has some 2018 hay left for sale. He skipped a cutting last year and is doing the same this year because of the glut of hay.
Perhaps burning it is better than watching it rot while eating up space. Does Lee cut yalls hay?? I bought my feed hay this year from Bill Ousley until he was killed in a car wreck. I was paying $25/ bale and this was big bales. Dirt cheap. I bought several loads this past fall (old hay) for $5/bale for erosion control from a guy who was going to burn it if he couldn't get rid of it at $5. It is in fact Lee. I think it was Langford that had some he was selling for $5 a bale or some such.
