How can anyone that eats raw fish, know anything about BBQ? I've been a customer of Sho Nuff since they were in that trailer on 22 in front of a Gas station. They have great BBQ. If it wasn't good they wouldn't have been around over 15 years.
Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!
If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

This is the correct answer However if you want something more laid back, a side of the lake would help. It’s a big lake. By water or land? The Landing doesn’t open until Memorial Day I don’t believe. Niffers is good if on the east side. We will be there all weekend watching it rain also

As a fellow flomationan, I will steer you straight since I know your family!
I'll tell you that I like Cottons bbq better than Sho'nuff although it is good.
Since you are going to be possibly on Dadeville side, you should go to Oscars for catfish or Poplar Dogs for steak. Table 34 has great food too, outstanding prime rib.

All the good places have been mentioned....
In downtown AC:Jake's or Lake Martin Pizza On or near 280 in AC: Sakura, BigB (Friday night ribeye special not too shabby for the price), LaPosada, Good Ol Boys gas station BarBQue-great take out best pulled pork in town (other than firetruck) and good wings, burgers, and ribs Dadeville side: Niffer's, Oskar's, Coppers On the Lake: Kowaliga has great atmosphere and view but the food just isn't the same as the good ol' days...it's still good
Little bit of a drive and closer to Dadeville side of Lake than AC but The General's Cafe in NewSite is a nice change of pace. Homestyle cooking plus fried catfish and shrimp

Colonel Toms for a night cap!
I've been there a half dozen times and probably all but one or two ended in a fight.
