1. Spray and kill all weeds and grass. Lots of different options will work for chemicals.
2. Apply starter fertilizer. If no soil test has been done apply 60 units N, 60 units P, 60 units K, and 8-10 units S.
3. No till the corn seed with a planter about 2” deep. (If you don’t have a no till planter then prepare a seed bed and plant the seed about 2” deep.
4. When the corn is around knee high apply around 100 units N and 18-20 units of S.
5. When the corn is around knee high spray to kill all weeds and grass. Lots of different options will work for chemicals.

I would leave the corn standing in the fall. You could cut a lane or two and plant some wheat or rye.
