All I know is a speeding ticket isn't an arrest and tresspassing will not stick unless you knew you were doing it. The burden of proof falls on the state.

I also know law enforcement can write tickets and not understand the law. In that case it cost the citizen money. I've been on the receiving end of this before

call me for a later appointment, my back hurts too much right now. grin grin a speeding ticket is an arrest, you sign to agree to appear in court. Tell em you ain't signing and see if it looks more like an arrest....


I'm pretty sure that most traffic violation tickets are just printed off now and you don't have to sign it....at least the last two speeding tickets i received didn't have to be.


That is the newer E-Cite system the State and some agencies are going to. It was just starting to be used when I retired so I don't know how they deal with not having a signature as an assurance to appear in court. I am curious about that though so I will ask when I see someone using it.
