BC, those all look good and I’m going to try them. May try Lardo 2 or 3 times.

NSDQ you will have a great time if you just relax and immerse yourself in the culture--you will truly be visiting a different world. It is a world of contrasts. There are whiz-kid techno types bringing in 6-figures, and there are street people. They all share a zest for life, for the new and different. The food is fantastic, the beer is incredible, and the wine is top-notch. Just leave that MAGA hat at home and don't go riling up the locals. You will see lots of homeless people, most of whom are harmless. You might consider carrying a few ones to drop in the bucket. Be sure to check out the Portland Saturday Market downtown. And Portland traffic makes B'ham look like a cake walk. To get a feel for the area, you might check out...

Good post, Alagator.

NSDQ, if you enjoy wine you'll have scads of possibilities. Lot of good food and beverage options.

Oregon's a cool state outside of Portland. Lot of variety for hunting and fishing, like California and Washington. It's sad that a couple of towns with psychotic leftist wackadoos taint it all.

Muzzle loader gun store

This guy always has black powder rifles for sale on armslist. I’d go see his shop if I was that close to it and had time

Several states fall into that category.
Illinois is another that comes to mind from what I've heard.

Georgia is going to quickly fall into that as Atlanta continues to expand. Same with Tennessee and Nashville. Texas and all the large cities there.

Drive east and see the Dalles east of Portland if you get a chance. Interesting drive because it’s rainforest west of the mountains and high desert east of them
