It kicked my butt. I couldn’t find em. I was fishing 8 feet in. Thought with water around 60 and full moon, some would be moving up. If they were, they weren’t interested in red Rat L Trap, spinnerbait, squarebill, other stuff I was throwing. It was pretty windy in afternoons too. Kept me from fishing some of the places I wanted to fish. Seeing some reports other people struggling too. Talked to a guy and his wife on the water. They came down from West Virginia for the week. He’d fished pretty hard all week and caught 20. “I thought I’d catch 20 a day and have a sore thumb,” he said. I think April will be better.

We went yesterday and the biggest issue we had was 628 MPH wind!!!!!! Forecast called for NE @ 4, but boy was that wrong. Seriously, anything in the open and the rollers would splash up onto the deck.
I believe mostly the fish are on shallow offshore staging areas (points and humps leading into the creeks and pockets), but I simply couldn't set on any of it. We caught two fish about two lbs apiece the whole trip.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

I don’t just kill em but I’m usually good for 2-5 per trip. It made me feel like a dummy this week.

I ain't fishing for the same type fish you guys are but for me this week was rough until yesterday. Yesterday was rough until 5:20 pm. We fished all day and had 14 crappie in the boat at 5:20. At 7:15 we had 44 in the livewell. I don't fish bridges very often so I have to hunt fish. We finally found some warmer water up river and put it on them hard for the last 2 hours. We probably caught north of 70 fish total and yes I caught some ditch pickles.

Going to be real busy this week with Big Bass Splash. And a BASS high school OPEN. Whoever scheduled that one needs a swift kick to the sack.

I understood there to be 350 boats in the high school tourney. I know a young man who is boat #196 in it. I may fish a wildcat myself since I'll be up there camping anyway. I plan on dragging a big paddle tail swimbait around Thursday and Friday, if I find some big fish I'll enter.
