Mine ate the entire 6 ft bench off of a kid's plastic picnic table between 6 and 9 mths old. Then from 9-12 months she decided to eat about 160 sq. ft. of wood lattice off the patio area in the back yard. She just chewed it all into splinters and ate it all, including the staples. I figured that the staples might cause her problems but nope, she just passed them like they were nothing. Right after she finished off the lattice, my son came in one afternoon telling me that the dog was dragging a lot of wire around the backyard. She'd gone in the garage and ripped/pulled the entire wiring harness out from under my bass boat's trailer and was dragging it around. She never was bad to dig and after that first year of chewing, has been the best working dog and family dog you could ever want. She's 11 now and the best companion I've ever had.

I've found when they are puppy stage (up to 1.5 years or so) it doesn't matter how much exercise they get, they have to CHEW. It's just part of their DNA.
I love every single one I've had, but dang they frustrate me sometimes.

Male Lab pups breathe through their teeth.

Kong toys are your friend. They are all gonna chew, you just have to give them things they can chew on. Yeah I gave mine the Kong, deer horns, tug o war things, rawhide etc. It ate the garage, the wall, sheet rock, the gutters, extension cords, the porch, carpet, trees, the pool, 30 outdoor lights, patio chairs, grill brush and some I cant recall

Had one that chewed everything in sight including the wall! Never in my life seen anything like it!

I'm pretty lucky I guess, only 1 puppy out 4 chew a lot of stuff up. The 3 males didn't chew much at all and 1 did not chew up anything. He's the one in my avatar.
