I shot my second buck this weekend at last light. The buck was a big cow horn spike. The deer enter the field at last light to my right and the small pine with a loc-on about 10 feet off the ground did not allow me to shoot to my right where the deer came from. To my suprise the deer quickly covered ground to enter a shooting lane less than 25 yards away. The deer was slightly quartering to me so i put the pin on the front shoulder and let the muzzy broadhead eat. The deer ran about 50 yards and stopped and with a tucked tail stood there and flickered his tail. The buck finally walked off and i heard the deer lay down but it did not sound like he crashed. I was scared to turn my light on or look for my arrow so i decided to wait for 3 hours and come back and check my arrow. When i came back the arrow had great sign and the trail was one of hte best i have ever had. Less than 80 yards was the tall cow horn spike. Unfortunately the coyotes had eaten the entire deer from the hind quarter to the front shoulder in three hours i could not believe it. I was able to salvage the horns but that was it. I will try to post a picture ASAP. Thanks and everyone have a MERRY CHRISTMAS laughup
