Freezer died while i was out of town for a week.

Gross anatomy was not so bad, but it was a smell that would get stuck in your clothes and nostrils.

I used to work in a meat department. One day I had to discard a box of chicken livers and a box of gizzards into one of those barrels you are talking about. both where over a month out of date. That was probably one of the worst smells as far as old rotten meats goes.

But working in the ER... you experience the worst, most foul, weirdest smells, all from people wether it be Body Odor, vomit, chitt, bleeding, or a combo of things. It gets bad

Same, Mini fridge freezer was full of deer and duck meat in college. Threw the whole damn thing away. Ruined the carpet and everything near it

Crappy diapers in the trash can in August is one of of them. Hog farms are pretty bad too.

Grease traps at Chinese restaurants

A stinky airplane or bus (which is most of them these days) is pretty bad to me. I can handle most stuff others can't, but knowing humans could prevent almost all of that, but choose not to gets me. The worst is a toss up of pulling a decaying calf out of a heifer, which resulted in a tail swish shot of liquid to the mouth, or a house that had tons of dogs and a rather large lady who used 5 gallon buckets and the floors when needing to do their business. I lost my stomach on the decaying calf but I think catching that liquid to the mouth had a lot to do with it.

Fridge at hunting camp quit some time between turkey season and September. Deer burger will melt. We used 2 ratchet straps to keep the doors shut and put it on a set of hand trucks. We deposited it at the recycling center and went and bought a new fridge. The juices running out of the freezer would gag a maggot

Green stomach bile. My wife had gallbladder surgery and throw up green bile afterwards. I didn't clean it up fast enough and it permanently stained the tile in the bathroom.

I was inspecting a house on a blasting related case several years ago off of Powder Plant Road in Bessemer/Hueytown area. The house smelled so bad I was having some light dry heaves....mangy wet stinky dogs combined with garbage that was no telling how old. Well, I went into a bedroom that had magazine porn pasted on every inch of the walls and plates of rotting food in the floor. Some piece of scum guy was asleep in the bed midafternoon. Then the stench of....well....rotten bodily fluids overpowered the food and dog smell.

I threw up in my mouth, ran onto the front porch and barfed all over the place. There were about 10 others there too, lawyers, clients, engineers...Someone else went in that room and didn't make it to the porch, chain reaction and about 4 people got sick.

I grew up on a farm and my family grew soybeans along with 200 head of hogs. Rotten soybeans and pig chit are nothing compared to that. I have smelled a dead body in August before and that's the worst .

Growing up in grocery stores I've smelt some bad stuff and had a combine catch fire with soybeans they smell after a while too but burning flesh is prob worst I've smelt

Damn bet that was nasty. I remember when i was stabbed, i didn't go to the bathroom for a week and a half, and the doc told me what don't come out will come up 😲 So i took every laxative known to man 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tie between a human body that has sat in a bathtub in a small bathtub with the space heater wide open for several days making a soupy concoction or a human that has been burned in a house fire with very intense heat that melted all the fat.

If any of you are wondering, dead, rotting human is a pretty recognizable smell after you've encountered it a few times. Different that animals. I can best descibe it as a rotting animal smell with more of a sweetness and pungentness at the same time. It put a taste in your mouth that sticks with you for awhile.

If I never have to smell another one again in my life that will be OK, but will bet I will never forget that smell if I encounter it again.

When I was 16 years old, I went parking with this girl...ahh, never mind.

In all seriousness, my wife works as an ultrasonographer at an OBGYN. You wouldn’t believe some of the stories she has told me about women and odors.
