who has one? How do you like it? how does it shoot?
Any other experiences with one in any Caliber?

I have a Pro Hunter in 30-06 and a Steyr Scout in 308. They both are very accurate, have great triggers, adjustable LOP, and are very well made and good looking guns.

I have one in 7mm-08. Very accurate, good trigger. Friends have them in various calibers and they all are happy with them.

I have 5 of them, in the following calibers....

.25-06, 7-08, .270, .308, and .300WinMag

All are tack drivers.

The design of the stock on the pro hunters dissipates recoil better than any I've seen, and the triggers are outstanding. Also, love the roller style 3 position safety.

Really, there's nothing that I don't like about them.

I traded with a member on here for a prohunter in .308 the triggers are great on them I think mine breaks clean at 3lbs from the factory and like everyone else has said its accurate mine shoots clover leafs at 100 yards and the safety is real quiet flipping it off

I sent my payment for one and will be meeting to pick it up next week. My best friend and hunting partner used to have one in 708 and after he left this world I said that I wanted one to hunt with so I felt like we were still hunting together. I wanted to buy his but couldn't bring myself to ask his parents.

I will be trying some handloads in it but until then what are some good shoot factory loads? and for those who have loaded up some what bullets seem to work well? I would like to keep them in the 125 - 150gr range

I'll agree with everything except the last part. Them some fugly guns. Only way to make it look uglier would be to slap a DNZ scope mount on one.

One of the finest, most accurate, out of the box weapons that there is. My boys have them in .308 and .300Mag. You will not be disappointed.

I had one in 280. It was a very nice rifle and accurate. It just didn’t fit me. But I wish I’d kept it.

I have a .30-06 and love it.

I had a chance to buy some older models in different calibers but no money. Dagnabbit.

COAL = 2.810
OAL = 2.206, this is .050 off lands which is Barnes recommendation

I have a stainless w/ camo stock Pro Hunter in .280 Rem. Bought it years ago w/ Zeiss Diavari glass for $650. Seller was loosing everything to bankrupcy and this was is last rifle he hoped to hold on to. It is crazy accurate.

I've got an older stainless prohunter 30.06 that shoots well, has some crappy glass on it. Got a new-to-me meopta waiting to go on it, and I think this thread motivated me to get it done.

For those of us who don't reload, Pro Hunters still do all right with factory ammunition. This was from a 4 shot sight in: 3 shots to get the group, then four clicks up to get it where I wanted it. That was a short day at the range. grin
