i know this sucks for the people impacted by the flooding but i always thought it was awesome to see what mother nature is capable of

This is Moundville public boat ramp. At normal pool the ramp is about 100' decline down to the edge of the water.

We couldn't wait for Logan Martin to flood each Spring. Bow fish and jug fish the sloughs at night. The walk to the boat was shorter too.😉

Doekiller, I’m with you. The mulberry hasn’t risen like I thought it would. Today is the only day the road to our house flooded and it was back down within a couple hours. One of our river bottom fields did flood but not to bad.

In a few days we get to see how our equipment faired, I doubt it did. The water was over the Combine tires from what I could tell.

Had 2 drake Golden Eyes and 5 Scoters swimming around the farm. Never seen that before, usually just puddle ducks in the duck hole. The Trace does look like a Causeway thru there now.

The locust fork is nowhere close to as high as ive seen it. I lived on it for years and left a couple of times when it got up in the yard. It can handle rain livkeke weve been getting spread out over several days. It dont like a deluge anywhere up river or nonstop rain for days. Ive seen it rise 35ft in 24hrs. If it had came up 3more feet, it would have been in the house. It got way up after ivan and even higher than that about ten years ago around Christmas.

G'ville is HIGH. My mom, has a picture of here on top of the dam in 73 or 74, and the water is about 2-3 ft from the top of the dam. Gates are totally covered. She said the entire dam was vibrating .

I think its a shooter.

He's got some mass, but his belly doesn't look like it's sagging much. I'd start a supplemental feeding program and give him another year.
