One thing that has been working for me lately is drinking a slimfast shake for breakfast and eating a protein bar for lunch. you have to make sure you get the slimfast "advanced nutrition" shakes that have 1g of sugar...the original ones are much higher in sugar. The protein bars I've been eating for lunch are "One" brand (maple glazed flavor) and they also have only 1g sugar...and believe it or not, they're pretty tasty and really filling.
I actually started the slimfast shake thing, not to lose weight, but because they were quick, simple and cheap. Between that and the protein bar, as long as I'm not a complete dumbass at dinner time, I've been losing a couple of pounds/week.
