Ihave a well at my house on top of a mountain near shades crest rd in hoover. The pump didn't work when I bout it and I got a new submersible pump and when I pulled thepipe out of ground it was about 150 ft deep with water on the pipe wet at about 10 feet deep.Water is crystal clear and I want to know the most economical way to have it testef to see if its drinkcable.Does anybody know how to do it and about what it would run to have it tested.I put some in a glass and could see no sediment or color other than purfectly clear.thanks up front from anybody willing to help and let me know how and where.

There are several places online you can order a test kit from. You can test bacteria, metal, or gases. It’s not that much money to do all three. I’m not sure about up there but in Florida we have companies that test wells for potable water for $150. Also our county health departments will test if you bring a sample. I’ve seen several test done and when a Proffesional does it they always wipe the spigot with a beach wipe before they take the sample. Hope that helps.

I know some water treatment plants will test it for you.

Your county may provide testing
