I got a 16 2500 with cummins. at 18,000 I had to have a wheel hub assembly placed. Got 40,000 on it now and just had a sensor replaced. It would sporadically pop up on my info screen "4WD shift in progress". My biggest gripe is when I go get service work done they tell you u got some updates that are available, but then they want to charge you for doing those updates!! What a crock of shlt, from the dealer.
Don't go looking for TROUBLE, it'll find you soon enough!

I have a 2015 RAM 2500, it's been a good truck, pulls great, but just received the 13th factory recall on it, this one is for a defective steering box, they have corrected everyone of them, but it's getting a little old to a new recall so often I know the feeling!! I dropped mine off at the dealer a couple weeks ago. They kept it for 2 days doing recall work!! At least they are fixing stuff rather than keeping their mouth shut and let consumers pay the dime on fixing stuff!!

Shaw has the correct response I'll respectfully disagree. Dodge/Ram is all I have driven for almost 30 years. With the exception of the 2nd gen Dakota, they have all been really good trucks. I have driven several of them over 200,000 miles with no major issues and very few minor ones. I traded my last 1500 at 245,000 miles in 2013. I still see it around town occasionally. It's a 2004 4x4. In that same 30 years I have watched friends with fords have catastrophic engine failures among others and chevys have a multitude of major problems.. I also have a friend who had problems with a dodge, but he treats his equipment like a rented mule. He has problems with everything that he drives. We currently have 2 Ram pickups, a 1500 and a 2500, both 2016 models. Very happy with both. I'm not saying that some folks don't have problems with all brands of pickups. I'm saying that I have way more experience with Dodge/Ram than most, and I just haven't seen it. If they suck that bad, you would think that since 1987, owning and driving 12 of them would have revealed a problem or two.

I don’t care much for reviews on the web or reliability ratings compared to what I see and hear. Most of my friends that have Ram trucks have had zero issues. I also noticed for such poor reliability there sure are a crap load on the road. So I bought a 2015 1500 Ecodiesel. I get 25mpg with my 70 mile daily commute from Eclectic to Maxwell AFB. Best truck I’ve ever had and the longhorn package is embarrassingly nice compared to anything else I’ve owned. It has 80k+ is paid for and hope it lasts a long time. So you don't take any stock in data from a pool of 800,000 auto owners that compile problem areas over a length of time, but trust information from just a handful of buddies?
