I don't think people are saying an adult female preying on juvenile boys is any less a predator or sicko than a man in this situation. I think the difference is in the view of the effect on the juvenile boy or girl. Many of us would not be concerned that this would have a negative effect on a boy that age, even though it probably does.

Supposing she was a willing participant.

I don't doubt that in most of these cases the juvenil, whether a boy or a girl, was a willing participant. When your 15 years old and someone twice your age starts telling you how wonderful and beautiful you are, you fall for this predatory behavior. The predators know how to identify youngsters who may be depressed or feeling neglected and know they are easy targets. So the youngster then becomes a "willing" participant.

It’s wrong on several levels, however, many of you on here should inquire as to how old your grandmother or great-grandmother was when she married. When Perch was in his prime folks would “jump over the broom” when young girls were 14! I have a friend who is 51, his mother was 14 when she married his dad.
As for the defendant who is the subject of this thread, if he HAD NOT been a school employee AND would have waited until her next Birthday, it would have been legal. Yep, she was LESS THAN A YEAR FROM BEING LEGAL. A 16 year old is only legal for someone 18 and under in Alabama. Wrong. 16 is legal for anyone from age 14 to age 100 to have sex with. 16 is the legal age of consent. Anyone other than a school employee can have sex with a 16 year old. If you are 16, you can have sex with a 14 year old legally, if you are 17, you can have sex with a 15 year old legally, once you reach 16, you are free game for anyone other than a school employee.

Her father threw a dang fit infront of the officers wanting the man locked up for messing with his 16 year old daughter.They told him there was nothing they could do under Alabama law since she said it was consensual and was 16 years of age.
